What will we learn this year?

Unit 1: We will kick off our year with reading  “The Hundred Dresses”. We will discuss the actions of the characters in the book. We will make connections to real life by discussing a common theme-TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED) Students will talk about bullying in schools and how to prevent it. Then, we will begin a unit of study on exploration into Arkansas and the west. We will start off with the Spanish and French explorers who came through Arkansas.
