Behavior Policy  and Classroom Expectations

Behavior Rules for Grade K-4

All students are expecxted to:

  1. Follow teacher, paraprofessional, and substitues directions at all times.
  2.  Keep hands, feet, and all objects to self at all times.
  3. Refrain from rude gestures or put-downs. (verbal and non-verbal)
  4. Have all supplies and assignments for class.
  5. Raise hand for permission before speaking.

Consequences for K-4

Students will use a clip-up and clip-down chart for behavior in class.  Students are expected to exhibit the 7 Habits for Happy Kids. Students will begin their day on the color green. By exhibiting these 7 habits, students will have a chance to clip up to blue.  Students who do not follow the 7 habits and exhibit misbehavior, may clip down to yellow (a warning), orange (walk laps), or red (parent contact).
