Math Reay Syllabus

Course Objectives: This course is designed for students who would like to review or re-learn algebra and geometry concepts before going onto “COLLEGE” mathematics. The text presents these concepts in a manner which will allow students to see the relationships in both a numerical and graphical approach. This is course is designed to promote higher level thinking and discussion. This is done by group work and critical thinking.

 

Grading Scale for Exams: 89.5-100 = A; 79.5-89.4 = B; 69.5-79.4 = C; 59.5-69.4 = D; 0-59.4 = F.

 

Make-Ups: Exams may only be made up under the following condition: the reason for missing the exam is an absents or a school-sanctioned activity. All make-up exams will be given on the day the student returns. Students will be given the same amount of time to complete the exam as every other student. For make-up homework students will be given the same amount of time to complete the assignment. 

 

Deadlines: Deadlines are serious. Work turned in after a deadline will be penalized. It is your responsibility to have all work submitted on time. In the case that work will be turned in late due to reasons outside of your control please let me know and I will try a work out a solution. If work is not turn in on the day it is due the student will be given ICU until it is turn in completed and will get up to 75% credit.
