Programming with Mathematics Syllabus

 

Course Objectives: This course is designed to follow the Computer Science course from Virtial Arkansas. I will be teaching the course in class, but the layout is based off of the course originaly designed by Virtual Arkansas.

Each exam and quiz will consist of short answer questions that test student knowledge of the material previously assigned. The homework assignments will be no more than 20 problems with most assignments being 10 problems.

 

Grading Scale for Exams: 89.5-100 = A; 79.5-89.4 = B; 69.5-79.4 = C; 59.5-69.4 = D; 0-59.4 = F.

 

Make-Ups: Exams may only be made up under the following condition: the reason for missing the exam is an absents or a school-sanctioned activity. All make-up exams will be given on the day the student returns. Students will be given the same amount of time to complete the exam as every other student. For make-up homework students will be given the same amount of time to complete the assignment.

 

Deadlines: Deadlines are serious. Work turned in after a deadline will be penalized. It is your responsibility to have all work submitted on time. In the case that work will be turned in late due to reasons outside of your control please let me know and I will try a work out a solution. If work is not turn in on the day it is due the student will be given ICU until the work is turned in for up to 75% credit.
