Danville School District PUBLIC RELEASE – SY 2023-2024

FOR FREE AND REDUCED PRICE MEALS 

The Danville School District today announces its policy for providing free and reduced price meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program, Afterschool Snack Program, and/or School Breakfast Program.  Each school and/or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.  The price charged for a paid student breakfast is $1.10; the price charged for a paid student lunch is $1.80. TITLE IX

Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Title IX states “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
