I started teaching at Danville Middle School in 2020. I teach 5^th and 6^th grade keyboarding, Keycode and Career Development.

I started teaching in 1994, and have taught at several schools in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Most of my teaching experience was at Fort Smith Northside, where I taught business and computer science courses for twelve years.

Before coming to Danville, I worked at the Arkansas Division of Career and Technical Education. I began as a Program Advisor in the Business and Marketing Office, where I was also the state adviser for FBLA and DECA. By the time I left, I was the Program Coordinator for the STEM Office. Working at DCTE gave me valuable experience in planning curriculum, understanding Perkins funding, and learning more about how our educational system works.

I am married to Ben, and have three children: Cassi, Sarah and John. All three graduated from the Fort Smith school district—the girls went to Northside, and John went to Southside. I also have two adorable grandchildren, who call me Neena—Jackson and Averie Grace. We also love our little shih-tzu Pistol Pete :)

My husband and I own an antique store in Fort Smith.We enjoy refinishing old furniture and just working the store when we can—we also have lots of DIY home improvement projects to keep us busy. 

We also love Family Fun Days, where we can just enjoy being together for lunch, playing games and being silly.
