I would like to begin by welcoming you to the 2013-2014 school year and introducing myself. I am Gregg Grant, and I am extremely excited to be back in Danville serving as superintendent.
I started my educational career in Danville in 1985 and spent four great years here as a health teacher and coach. Leaving Danville in 1988, I spent eleven years in Greenwood teaching science and coaching football and girls’ basketball. In 1999, I went to Alma as an administrator for the next thirteen years before working in the Russellville School District last year as the director of the Russellville Adult Education Center.
I hold a Master's and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University. I have three daughters. Brittney and Courtney are 26-year-old twins, and Emily is 22. All three are college graduates and are fortunate to work in areas that they really enjoy.
My goal this year for Danville School District is much like it was when I was coaching: set high, yet attainable expectations and work hard to meet those expectations. This includes expectations for principals, teachers/staff, students, parents, community, school board, and myself. All stakeholders are vital to the overall success of our school district.
I hope all students have a great school year. If you have questions, concerns or praises, please feel free to contact me at the administration building.
And remember, GO LITTLE JOHNS!
