Notes From the School Nurse's
Office
The
office of the School Nurse is always a busy place with many responsibilities
including:
1. Vision and Hearing Screenings which
involve 400 plus students each year.
Many students must be screened twice.
2. Scoliosis Screenings for over 200
students each year.
3.
The BMI program mandated by the State of
4.
Immunizations on each student must be checked each year to assure they
are up to date.
The State requires reports on each of the
above each year which is the duty of the School Nurse to complete and return.
The nurse's office is also there to help
students "make it through the day" and hopefully remain in
school. Many days from 15 up to 30
students come to see the nurse for various reasons.
Your child's health and education are very
important to me. I believe good health
is essential to obtain a good education.

La oficina de la Enfermera de la Escuela es siempre
un lugar ocupado
